Zachys is a fourth-generation family business and one of America's most respected fine wine and spirits retailers, founded in Scarsdale, New York in 1944.

Studio AI Architects was commissioned to design their flagship relocation to a state-of-the-art facility at 30 Midland Avenue in Port Chester, New York — consolidating retail, e-commerce fulfillment, storage, and auction operations under one roof for the first time.

The retail floor is organized by wine region, with a warm, considered material palette — dark tones, custom millwork displays, and controlled lighting — that conveys the gravitas of a world-class collection while remaining accessible and navigable. A pictorial history of Zachys is integrated into the space, grounding the design in the brand's 80-year legacy.

The scope extended well beyond the retail floor. Studio AI Architects also designed the back-of-house storage facility and logistics infrastructure — a large climate-controlled warehouse directly adjacent to the sales floor, allowing staff to retrieve inventory on demand during customer visits and for online orders. This seamless integration of front and back of house was central to Zachys' vision of a single hub serving retail, online order fulfillment, and collector storage for the Tri-State area.
